Delhi metro to offer high speed wifi at stations partnered with beckhaul digital

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has partnered with Beckhaul Digital to provide high-speed public Wi-Fi at Delhi-NCR metro stations. The objective of this initiative is to provide seamless internet connection to the passengers during the journey in the metro. At present, there is no strong internet connection in the train or station, especially on the underground line, during the metro journey, causing inconvenience to the passengers. In such a situation, the fiber network can solve this problem to a great extent. The Wi-Fi network will be launched in a phased manner, which will start from major stations and later it will be expanded throughout the metro network.

DMRC informed last Friday that it had partnered with beckhaul digital to lay high-speed fiber network. Our Release In DMRC said that the service will be available at selected underground stations in the beginning and gradually expanded to other metro stations. This project is expected to improve connectivity for passengers, so that they will be able to browse internet, access email and use online service without relying on mobile data.

The Beckhall, known for its grip in telecommunications and digital infrastructure, will work as the establishment and maintenance of Digital, Wi-Fi service. It has also been reported that the company will deploy advanced technology to ensure fast, safe and stable connectivity at metro stations.

This step follows DMRC’s previous efforts to launch Wi-Fi service on the Airport Express line and improve network coverage in the metro campus. Certainly with this partnership, Delhi Metro will focus on creating a digitally connected mobility system, which will further convenient the travel of passengers traveling in Delhi Metro in the coming time.
