Instagram CEO Adam Moseri announced META’s upcoming video editing app Edits, which will be launched for Androod and iOS in March. In his video, he described the app as “a full suit of creative tools”. Edits will include high quality camera, a separate tab for inspiration, tools to track ideas, advanced editing options and draft-sharing capabilities. The app will also show Insights for the video shared on Instagram. Pre-orders are open for this at the Apple App Store, soon it will be available on Google Play. It seems that recently the META is trying to take full advantage of Tiktok’s potential American ban and temporary removal from the app store of Capcut on 19 January.

Instagram CEO Adam Moseri shared a video on Sunday night, which announced the launch of a new video editing app by META soon. In this, Moseri also highlighted many features of the upcoming app and told that the app will be available for both Android and iOS devices. Moseri shared the video on Threads. He said that Edits will have many other features available compared to the traditional video editing app, which makes it different from the crowd. It appears from the features mentioned by him that it will be a platform similar to the Capcut of bytedance.

Moseri said in his video that it is a complete suit of creative tools. It will have a tool to track the ideas as well as a separate tab for inspiration. It will give users advanced editing options and will also be equipped with a draft-sharing capacity. Not only this, users will be able to use the integrated camera app in it, which has been described as a “very high quality camera”.

Moseri says that the app is already available for pre-order on the Apple App Store and it will soon be available for the Android device on the Google Play store. The Edits app will reportly be available for some time in the month of March. Moseri reported that “the app will not be available to download by next month and in the meantime we are going to work with some video manufacturers to get their feedback and improve experience.”
