Redit user (@Kanavagg) to one of his Zepto order bills Shared And sought clarity from other users on the breakup of that bill. The user wrote in his post, “Please help me understand this calculation. I am very foolish to understand Jepto’s mathematics, someone is very smart, please help.”
In fact, the customer ordered only milk and a charging cable from the platform. The user got a discount here, he also applied the voucher and also included tax and platform fees on the order. After this, the user was confused about the bill and shared the screenshot of the bill on the redit and sought help from other users in understanding it.
One user explained the breakup of the bill and wrote, “Milk is 112 and cable MRP 499 list price (on which the cable they sell is normally 119) they are giving a discount of Rs 100 on the cable.” Explaining the breakup, the user further wrote;
“The calculation is as follows:
112 milk, 119 cables, so total 231
-100 cable discounts, then final price 131
12 handling, 2 processing fees
145 Grand Total “
